Q. How long will it take to set up my telephone services from Selectcom Telecom?
A. Lead times will depend on the services and features being activated.

Q. If we move, how can I direct customers to my new number?
A. Selectcom Telecom has a few options:

  • Reference-of-Call Recording (where technology permits)
  • Permanent Call Forwarding (where technology permits)

Contact one of customer care representatives to help decide which options are best for you.

Q. Do I have to be listed in the White Pages?
A. No, for $7.95 per month, your company could have a non-published listing.
Q. Can I add additional listings in the White Pages?
A. Yes! Additional listings are $6.95 per month, in metropolitan and non metropolitan areas.
Q. How do I dial with the Selectcom Telecom Business Long Distance?
A. Just dial direct! – No extra codes are required.
To dial within Canada and U.S. you simply need to dial 1 followed by city/area code and phone number. To dial internationally dial 011 followed by the country code, and then city/area code and phone number.
For example to call London you dial: 011 + 44 + 20 + Number.
Q. What if I need help while dialing?
A. Simply press “0” when you pick up the phone. You can also contact Selectcom Telecom’s customer service at 1-888-901-8484 from 8:00 am to 21:00 pm EST Mon-Fri, 10:00 am to 15:00 pm EST Sat-Sun.

Residential

Q. How long will it take to set up my residential services from Selectcom Telecom?
A. Lead time is generally 7-10 business days for all residential services, including Residential long Distance, Cellular Long Distance, Personal Toll-free Number, International Travel Card and even High-Speed Internet.
Q. What increments are my long distance calls billed at?
A. Billing increments vary depending on the long-distance service being used.

Residential Long Distance 1-minute increments
Cellular Long Distance 1-minute increments
Personal Toll-free Number First 30-seconds minimum, following by 6-second increments thereafter
International Travel Card 1-minute increments
Q. How do I dial with Residential Long Distance?
A. Just dial directly! For calls within Canada and the U.S., simply dial 1, followed by the area code and phone number. For international calls, dial 011, followed by the country code, and then the area code and phone number. For example to call London, dial: 011 + 44 + 20 + Number.
Q. How can I protect which calls are made with my long distance?
A. You can use passwords to have maximum control over your long distance service. When a long distance number is dialled, the caller will be prompted to enter a code. Once the code is verified, the call can go through.
Q. What if I need help while dialing?
A. Simply press “0” or say “operator”. You can also call customer service at 1-888-901-8484 from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 9pm (EST), or on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 3pm (EST). Email assistance is available at service@selectcomtelecom.ca.
