How to use Selectcom Telecom’s International TravelCard

1 Calling from a hotel: Follow hotel instructions to get an outside line.

Calling from a public pay phone: A coin or local card may be required for payment. Service may not be accessible from some hotels, private phones or pay phones in certain countries.

2 Dial the Canada Direct access number from the eligible country list.
3 Follow the voice prompts to select your preferred language.

Choose Bell as your telephone company.

Choose calling card as method of payment, and then enter your TravelCard PIN.

4 Should you need help at any time, press “0” or say “operator” for a bilingual Canadian operator.
5 When using the TravelCard, you can place up to 10 calls in a row without hanging up. Simply press “#” after each call ends and follow the prompts.


Q. What if I need help while dialing?
A. Simply press “0” or say “operator”. You can also call customer service at 1-888-901-8484 from Monday to Friday, between 8am and 9pm (EST), or on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 3pm (EST). Email assistance is available at
Q. I travel to the U.S. a lot. Can I use this service while on the road?
A. Yes! Just 1-800-555-1111 and follow the prompts. Connecting is a snap!
Q. Does this service work in all countries and regions?
A. Unfortunately, no. You may not be able to access this service from some hotels, private phones or pay phones in certain countries. Refer to our country guide for exact details.
Q. Can I use the TravelCard with a fax or modem?
A. Yes! To send a fax, pick up the receiver and follow steps 1 to 3. For modem access, just configure your modem for calling cards (refer to your PC support documentation for more details).
Q. Will I get billed in foreign currency when making overseas calls?
A. No. You will always be billed in Canadian dollars for all calls made with Selectcom Telecom’s International TravelCard.
Q. What increments will I be billed at?
A. With the International TravelCard, you will be billed at one-minute increments.
